This session will examine some of the most significant copyright infringement issues that can arise online and what advice practitioners needs to be giving their clients, whether sole traders or large businesses, including:

  • What works does Australia’s copyright legislation protect?
  • What protections are given under the Act to copyright holders?
  • In what circumstances can posting third party works online or using works found online breach copyright? Who will be liable? What are the penalties?
